Digipak 3- Black Sabbath

The Black Sabbath digipak uses the photographs of one of their live shows as the inside of the pack and then a leading lines photograph of the band walking down the street as their front cover. Saturated black and white tones are used throughout which give the cover a vintage feel which is good as the band are originators of the metal genre which then would make a link to the idea of them being there from the start. The digipak opens out across a four way panelled cover which almost give the images depth and give the audience perception of the how big they were which I personally think works really well. The red colouring in the title/ band logo stands out, and the tone of a bright red is known to work well with black and white in art which many artists use like Barbara Kruger, which makes the title bold and eye catching. The sharp bold typography then links to the genre of metal because of its harsh edging.
